Dealing with external entities in MSCs
Many MSCs take the “environment” into account, i.e., info coming from outside of the system (e.g., an operator who presses a button, a signal that goes to an external antenna, etc.), take this into account.
Advantages:
- for requirements: make implicit info more explicit
- for analyses: allow to mo MSC feasability even if an entity does not map to a component (because it happens to be an environment entity)
First proposal:
- make a checkbox for MSC entity to indicate if they belong to the environment or not, then give them a particular colour accordingly
