Description

The utility methods mentioned in the title (to be found in PlatformArchitectureUtils) only return the first connected element that is found. This does not suit the general case where more than one ExecutionUnit can be connected to a TransmissionUnit (and vice versa).

Instead a list of all connected elements sould be returned. The user of such a method can then still decide to use only the first element.

Does it actually make sense that more than one ExecutionUnit or TransmissionUnit is linked to a single Transceiver?

If not, constraints should be added to respective compositors that ensure the condition that at most one ExecutionUnit or TransmissionUnit is linked to a single Transceiver?

No, this does not make sense after having another look. It would be only useful for wireless connections, for wired connections we'd use a another model element for splitting or combining transmission paths.

Onyl for "hull" elements containing a sub-net, this could make sense such that the hull element serves as a "facade".
