Description

#2265 introduced a virtual link meta-model that allows to represent deployed communication (in form of multi-cast messages). However, AF3 currently does not ship with a visualization of these virtual links.

The purpose of this issue is to establish such visualization, e.g. by integrating the VL-route tree viewer established in DREAMS. However, it should be re-checked if there are alternative visualizations that are more intuitive.

The SignalToRouteAllocationTableEditor added in #3361 displays the name of the Route to which a Signal is mapped. Further, the Segment s linked as schedulable entities in the resulting communication schedule also indicate the hops that are on the path to the respective resource.

However, a tree visualization of Route s is cumbersome to implement and to use. Hence, we keep this ticket as a reminder to implement a better visualization of Route s.
